We are seeking awesome, hardworking, music-loving individuals to volunteer at Summer Meltdown Festival this August 6th-9th, 2015. Summer Meltdown’s volunteers perform a variety of important tasks over the festival weekend, including ticketing, parking, info booth, greening, security, and hospitality. In addition to helping Summer Meltdown pull off an amazing four-day event, volunteers contribute to the incredible vibe of community and festivity found onsite. We invite you to join us in creating this one-of-a-kind music celebration!

Volunteer Requirements:

Pre-Event: After being accepted as a volunteer, each volunteer will confirm their position by submitting payment for the $20 impact fee. Impact fees go towards offsetting the costs of volunteer t-shirts, meals, and other volunteer perks. In addition to paying the nonrefundable impact fee, volunteers will also have a $150.00 hold placed on their bank account during the festival weekend. Once a volunteer has completed his/her volunteer obligations, this hold will be released in full. Individuals who fail to complete their volunteer obligations will be charged the $150 amount for their festival admission.

Onsite: Volunteers perform a total of twelve (12) hours of volunteer work, divided into 3- or 4-hour shifts. Volunteers MUST be available to be onsite the entire festival weekend, and must arrive at the venue no later than 9am on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Volunteers must attend the volunteer orientation and complete all assigned shifts. Volunteers must also agree to follow Summer Meltdown’s rules and guidelines, which are in place to help ensure the safety of our guests and the integrity of our event!

Volunteer Benefits:

In exchange for their amazing contributions to the festival, volunteers receive: admission to all 4 days of Summer Meltdown Festival with free parking; a special volunteer festival t-shirt with the 2015 lineup; one meal per volunteer shift; free access to the volunteer phone-charging station; exclusive access to acoustic band performances in the volunteer campground; PLUS the satisfaction of being a part of the magic that is Summer Meltdown!

Volunteer Camping:

Upon their arrival to the venue on Thursday, August 6th, Summer Meltdown volunteers will create a home-away-from-home in our volunteer campground. This campground (location TBD) will serve as a home base for volunteers and will be the meeting place for volunteer orientation, announcements, meals, and exclusive acoustic performances.

For volunteers who would prefer to camp with family or friends in a general admission campground: you may move your tent to a general admission campground starting Friday, August 7th (depending on available space). Please note that volunteers will not be permitted to set up tents or otherwise reserve spots in a general admission camping area prior to this date. Thursday is the busiest time for checking in patrons at the gates and the general admission campgrounds must be kept clear for patrons during this time.
